John Berthelsen is editor of the Hong Kong, China–based Asia Sentinel, a regional internet magazine. He came to Asia to cover the Viet Nam conflict for Newsweek.

Mark Blackwell has more than 20 years of experience covering issues ranging from science and economics to politics and cross-border issues in Latin America for news organizations that include Hearst Corporation and Capital Cities/ABC. He specializes in information graphics.

William Branigin served as Southeast Asia bureau chief of The Washington Post for 10 years, reporting from more than a dozen countries in the region. He was based in Bangkok from 1981 to 1986 and in Manila from 1990 to 1995.

Bronwyn Curran is an Islamabad-based journalist who worked as a correspondent in Pakistan and Afghanistan for Agence France Presse. She is also the author of Into the Mirror, a biography of Mukhtar Mai, a Pakistani woman who was allegedly gang-raped in 2002 and became an international symbol of female oppression.

Agnès Dherbeys is a Bangkok-based photographer whose work has taken her to the Middle East, Cambodia, Indonesia, Nepal, and Timor-Leste.

Karen Emmons is a Bangkok-based journalist who has contributed to the International Herald Tribune and other publications.

Bruce Heilbuth has worked as a journalist and foreign correspondent on four continents. He was editor-in-chief of Reader’s Digest magazine’s Australasian and Asian-English editions for nearly 10 years.

James Hutchison has worked as a writer and photographer in Asia for more than 25 years. His work has appeared in more than 30 international publications.

Emma-Kate Kunth-Symons is a Bangkok-based journalist who has reported from Sydney, Paris, London, New York, Washington, DC, and Manila for newspapers, magazines, radio, and television. A former Paris-based correspondent for The Australian newspaper, she has been published in The Wall Street Journal, The Sunday Telegraph, The Washington Post, and The Australian Literary Review.

Neeta Lal is a New Delhi-based journalist who contributes to The Guardian, Asia Times, Asia Sentinel, Business Times (Singapore), and many other publications.

Jan Lepeltak has been working as a journalist in Indonesia since 2004. He has written for various Dutch and international media, including Deutsche Presse Agentur, De Telegraaf, Elsevier, and Australian Radio SBS.

John McLean is a journalist and broadcaster based in the Philippines. He has covered Asian affairs for 27 years for various international media, including the BBC and The Economist.

Margo Pfeiff is a Canadian-based journalist and photographer with 30 years of experience writing for the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and other publications. She is currently researching a book on the Arctic.
