Xiaoyan Yang has nearly two decades of experience in designing and implementing projects in natural resources management, environmental improvement, ecological restoration, disaster risk management, and urban development. She has worked across the People’s Republic of China, Bangladesh, and Nepal, advancing nature‑based solutions and integrated approaches to managing natural resources and natural hazards. She holds a master’s degree in environmental science and completed a short‑term assignment with CCRE‑DRM in 2025.
